WinterLight, the MacLachlan Woodworking Museum’s annual celebration of the changing seasons, returns after a 2-year hibernation! Taking place Saturday Dec. 3, this community favourite offers an abundance of seasonal family fun and activities.
”WinterLight is a spectacular event for people looking to kick off their holiday season with crafting. This is our ninth year running WinterLight and you will see the return of crafting favourites, like swag making, paper ornaments, and secret gift making in the children’s forest. We hope you’ll come out and join us!” says Keely Maddock, Assistant Supervisor, Heritage Programs.
People of all ages are invited to:
get creative at craft stations
make décor items that will bring warmth to your home during the winter season
To ensure everyone has space to enjoy their activities, the Museum is introducing timed entry. Purchase tickets for one of three 90-minute slots: 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Regular admission rates apply or bring one unwrapped toy per family, in lieu of admission. Please register and learn more on the museum’s website.
The MacLachlan Woodworking Museum is located on the St. Lawrence River at Grass Creek Park, 2993 Highway 2 East.
