CFRC 101.9 FM seeks to employ four Work-Study Eligible graduate and/or undergraduate students through the 2018-19 academic year. We have four paid positions available through the Career Services website: Podcast Lead, Marketing & Advertising Assistant, Events Assistant, and News & Arts Coordinator. Podcast Lead (Career Services Job Post 97137)
-maintaining CFRC’s podcast website and RSS Feeds
-coordinating and scheduling podcast episode deployments
-uploading content to RSS feeds and podcast website
-maintaining regular communications with and coordination of local and remote podcasters/content
-scheduling podcaster studio time in cooperation with Programming Manager
-learning basic sound software usage to assist podcasters to produce high quality podcasts
-relay weekly lists of upcoming episodes to CFRC staff for social media deployment
-participate in training of new podcasters' usage of our equipment/software
-become fluent in relevant policies and guidelines regarding podcast content
-in collaboration with CFRC's Sales and Marketing Coordinator, oversee editing and quality assurance of any sponsored podcasts
Marketing & Advertising Assistant (Career Services Job Post 97135)
-coordinate voicing & production of commercial advertisements, station promotions & public service announcements
-script-writing, voicing, scheduling & technical production
-volunteer coordination of on-air talent
Events Assistant (Career Services Job Post 97136)
-Coordinate CFRC's presence at campus & community festivals and events
-coordinate logistics
-coordinate volunteers
-represent CFRC, it programming & volunteer opportunities, and its services at Queen's and in the community
News and Arts Coordinator (Career Services Job Post 97138)
-Coordinate production & recording of CFRC's weekly Community Events Calendar
-Outreach with individuals and groups regarding events and initiatives on campus and in the community
-Researching, writing & developing program content each week for CFRC's on air program Alternative Frequency & new podcast
-Planning, producing and recording on-location and in-studio interviews
-Writing copy & promoting news & arts news through the station's website, blogs, social media and other means
