Updates to Government Capacity Rules

From KFL&A Public Health: O. Reg. 364/20 is now in effect. The main change for personal care settings is that facials (and other services that require the removal of face coverings) can resume. Please ensure PPE (medical masks and face shield or goggles) are worn when providing services that require you, the person delivering the service, to be within two metres of an unmasked individual.

Personal care services (Schedule 2, section 8)

  • 50% capacity
  • Post capacity signage
  • PPE (medical masks and face shield or goggles) must be worn by those providing services
  • Active screening
  • Appointment only
  • Physical distancing required, with exemption (i.e. when receiving services)
  • Face coverings required, with exemptions (i.e. when receiving services that require face coverings to be removed)
  • Oxygen bars must be closed.
  • Safety plan
  • Can opt-in to proof of vaccination, but not required.
  • Contact tracing not required.
