Bands, musicians, music fans....there's lots to learn in just a short amount of time. By popular demand, we have three "marquee panels" (meaning, you wanted this content, you get it!). All panels are free, but preregistration is required and there are limited spots!
Sat June 4, 2022 Marquee Panel #1 GET BOOKED! How to get a booking agent in Canada The Mansion, 506 Princess St. 2:30pm doors, 3:00pm start, Free, Preregister HERE Presented by: Amherst Island Radio
Anyone who’s played in a band and been blessed with the role of “booker” knows it’s a ton of work. Who are the good promoters and clubs to work with? Who puts on shows in Newfoundland and British Columbia and everywhere in between? How do you convince people to book your band and actually pay you? Booking is a full-time job and getting an agent is one of the biggest breaks a band can get.
The Feldman Agency is one of North America's premiere entertainment talent agencies, representing a massive list of artists like Rush, Our Lady Peace and Diana Krall. Oh, and FYI, they’re not afraid to sign Kingston talent as they also represent The Glorious Sons, The Tragically Hip, Kasador, David Usher, Bryan Adams (kinda Kingston), and Avril Lavigne (also, kinda Kingston, but really Napanee). Feldman artist agent, Jordan Powley, grew up down the 401 in Cobourg, Ontario and now books some of the biggest bands across the world. Bring your questions and enthusiasm to this moderated talk on how to get a booking agent.
*** Sat June 4, 2022 Marquee Panel #2 GET SEEN! In-conversation with Eric Alper The Mansion, 506 Princess St. 12:30pm doors, 1:00pm start, Free, Preregister HERE Presented by: Kingston Live
Is your band awesome but you’re frustrated that people aren’t paying attention? Welcome to the club! With so many amazing artists all vying for an audience (with increasingly shorter attention spans) it can be a struggle to stand out. Come meet, chat, and learn from Eric Alper - Canada’s music PR heavyweight!
