The session will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and hosted by Desiree Kennedy, Chief Financial Officer and City Treasurer, and Lana Foulds, Director of Financial Services. The hour-long session will include speakers from two Canadian municipalities who have undertaken participatory budgeting exercises in their community. Speakers will talk about their experience with participatory budgeting, what worked well, and lessons learned.
“Spend an hour of your day with us, learn more about participatory budgeting and share your ideas on what participatory budgeting could look like for the City of Kingston,” says Kennedy.
