CFRC is hiring an Outreach/Remotes Coordinator Work Study Position

CFRC is hiring 4 Work study positions for a start date of September 12th, one of which is an Outreach & Remotes Coordinator

The Outreach Coordinator works with CFRC's Business Manager to coordinate CFRC's involvement with and presence at campus and community events. The successful candidate will also be responsible for covering the technical aspects of setting up, executing, and tearing down from live remote broadcasts.

In order to do this position you must be a student in any program and qualify for work study, this is a fall & winter position with a cumulative total of 160 hours. 


Tasks for this position would include: 
-Increasing CFRC's visibility on campus and in the community by coordinating circulation of CFRC's program guide and other promotional materials to campus and community groups.
-Recruiting content from non-profit campus and community groups to be used in Public Service Announcements (PSAs) and interviews about their campaigns and services
-Promoting volunteer and training opportunities at CFRC to recruit new volunteer applicants.
-Promoting CFRC's events and activities through innovative social media campaigns & posts.
-Supporting CFRC's AMS Student Fee renewal campaign.
-Setting up equipment used for executing live remote broadcasts.
-Attending Marketing and Outreach Committee meetings every 2-4 weeks
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
-strong oral and written communication skills
-self-motivation and an ability to work as part of a team
-familiarity with social media platforms such as Wordpress, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube
-experience with community radio, community outreach initiatives and/or non-profit organizations
-Ability to set up audio equipment (mixer, speakers, etc.)
