Learn about Kingston’s Sleeping Cabin Program through two information sessions next week

Two events will be held next week for residents interested in learning about Kingston’s Sleeping Cabin Program. Both are hosted by Our Livable Solutions (OLS) with support from the City of Kingston.
- Monday, June 5, 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Reddendale Hall (second floor), Centre 70 Arena, 100 Days Rd.: Join Chrystal Wilson, Acting Executive Director of OLS, for refreshments and a presentation at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Q&A session. An elevator and accessible washroom are available.
- Wednesday, June 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Kingston East Community Centre, 779 Highway 15: OLS is hosting a free screening of ‘Community First, A Home for the Homeless,’ a documentary that profiles an innovative and successful model for mitigating homelessness in Austin, TX. Following the film will be a Q&A session about Kingston’s Sleeping Cabin Program, with OLS.

The Sleeping Cabin Program was established in 2022, with support of City Council, Our Livable Solutions and community partners. Since its inception, the sleeping cabin initiative has been successful in assisting individuals exiting homelessness to have a safe place to stay as they transition to permanent housing.
