Shortwave Radio Theatre Camp aims to nurture a greater understanding among local youth ages 12-16 of the vital role independent media and the theatrical arts play in our community and to provide youth with broadcast skills in the context of radio theatre.
Funded by the City of Kingston Arts Council in partnership with the Dan School of Drama and Music, our camp is offered at no cost to participants and is hosted on Queen’s University with compliance oversight from the University’s Risk and Safety Services office.
Facilitated by Jesse Bell and Lauren Tucker and in partnership with local theatre company Bottle Tree Productions, Shortwave Radio Theatre Camp offers local youth something new, something fun, and something different in a safe, accessible, and inclusive environment.
Registration for this FREE in-person camp at CFRC in Carruthers Hall at Queen's University is NOW CLOSED!
This is a FREE Camp, though donations are gratefully accepted to offset costs related to staffing and insurance. Meals will not be provided.
