How the latest Provincial COVID-19 announcement impacts municipal facilities and you!

January 21, 2022

Yesterday, the Province announced several sectors would be able to re-open their doors with reduced capacity limits and COVID-19 measures in place, effective Jan. 31. Here’s how this news impacts your City services:

Effective Jan. 31, the following facilities will re-open their doors to the community:

  • City Hall, 216 Ontario St.
  • 1211 John Counter Blvd.
  • Kingston Area Recycling Centre Office, 196 Lappan’s Lane
  • The community will also be able to access the Provincial Offences Court Payment Centre at 362 Montreal St.

The City is currently assessing the re-opening of recreation facilities and the Kingston Grand Theatre, in accordance with yesterday’s Provincial announcement.

The City plans to provide an update to residents next week. In the meantime, residents are encouraged to continue to conduct business with City staff online or by phone. For more information on ways to access City services provided at locations that are currently closed, please consult the drop-down menu on the COVID-19 page.
