Green Standard Community Improvement Plan on the agenda

On July 15, at a virtual meeting of the Planning Committee, staff in the City’s Climate Leadership Division will provide an overview of the proposed Green Standard CIP and its intended benefits, how community input has shaped the Green Standard CIP, and next steps in the road towards implementation.

The proposed Green Standard CIP aims to incentivize the construction of efficient, sustainable, low-impact buildings to lower community greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) over time.

Aside from being better for our environment and our future, such buildings are known to enjoy reduced energy costs, provide healthier indoor air quality, reduce maintenance costs and improved durability.
