Deferred property taxes are due on March 31

March 16, 2021

Property-owners: you should now have received your interim property tax bill. Please plan to pay your property taxes by March 31.

The City of Kingston deferred the interim property tax deadline, normally due at the end of February, to help alleviate some of the financial pressure caused by COVID-19.

Property taxes are an important source of revenue for a city and allow for the delivery of essential services.

Property owners are encouraged to use payment options that do not require lining up at the City Hall Payment Centre. Payment methods are provided with your bill, and can also be found at CityofKingston.ca/Tax.

If you plan to pay at City Hall, please wear a face covering and be prepared to maintain physical distance.

Didn’t receive your property tax bill? Please call 613- 546-0000, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday to ask for it. Failure to receive your bill does not excuse you from payment or from penalties for late payment

Reminder: Small Business Property Owners

Apply online to further defer your property tax payments through the Small Business Property Tax Deferral Program.
