Chez Piggy and Pan Chancho staff get set to serve breakfasts for a good cause

Kingston, ON – For the 19 th year in a row, the staff members at Chez Piggy and Pan Chancho will
be donating their time to make breakfast in support of the Zal and Rose Yanovsky School
Breakfast Fund, which provides annual funding to The Food Sharing Project.

On December 13 at Chez Piggy, and December 14 at Pan Chancho, you can pick up a coffee and
a delicious breakfast to go for the price of a donation to the fund. The Zal and Rose Yanovsky
School Breakfast Fund was set up in memory of Zal and Rose Yanovsky in honour of their
commitment to providing food for those who need it.
The Fund is held at The Community Foundation of Kingston and Area, and each year, the
income from the fund is granted to The Food Sharing Project, which provides food to 88 schools
across KFL&A.
Each week, 10,000 meals and hearty snacks are served to students needing nutritious food at
school. As inflation outpaces income, more families are relying on healthy food at school, so
they can pay rent, utilities, or put gas in the car to get to work.
Since its inception, over $218,000 has been granted from the Fund! And, as the fund grows with
your donations, so does its annual granting power to get nutritious meals to hundreds of
students.
