Students and Faculty Members at Queen's University as well as members of the community are invited to join us on CFRC to share stories of Black excellence! CFRC is looking for individuals who would like to give short talks on broadcast radio on Black History and/or Black identities, that celebrate diversity and black and intersectional characters, that discuss race issues, that discuss the Black Lives Matter movement and more.
Do you have a paper you'd like to share that would work with the above themes?
Do you want to reach non-academic audiences with your learning right here in your community?
Do you want to inspire dialogue, teach others and learn from them too?
Submit a 100-word synopsis of your Black History Month on CFRC topic to Dinah Jansen, CFRC Station Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday January 22nd at 5 PM. If selected, CFRC staff will be in touch to set up a zoom-based virtual meeting where you can then read and record your talk. All talks will be pre-recorded virtually to ensure physical distancing. Your talk will then be broadcasted on CFRC during Black History Month and podcasted on CFRC's podcast network. We will also submit audio files to the Queen's Archives. Interested? Reach out today!
