CFRC is hiring 1 Work study position for a start date of September 21st, one of which is an Arts Collective Coordinator
The Arts Collective Coordinator works with CFRC's Programming Manager to coordinate volunteers' coverage of local arts events and groups on CFRC 101.9fm.
In order to do this position you must be a student in any program and qualify for work study, this is a fall & winter position with a cumulative total of 160 hours.
Tasks for this position would include:
-Recruiting, developing and coordinating a collective of volunteers involved in the production of arts programming
-Facilitating the collective's production of weekly community radio programming highlighting the work of local artists in visual and performing arts
-Enhancing the broadcast production skills of volunteers by providing mentoring and training opportunities.
-Increasing CFRC's visibility on campus and in the community by promoting arts content and by coordinating circulation of CFRC's broadcast schedule and other promotional materials to local arts groups and organizations.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
-strong oral and written communication skills
-self-motivation and an ability to work as part of a team
-familiarity with social media platforms such as Wordpress, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube
-familiarity with audio editing software such as Audacity and Reaper
-experience with community radio, volunteer coordination, visual and performing arts, community outreach initiatives and/or non-profit organizations
