CFRC Funding Drive 2018

CFRC 101.9 FM is excited to announce our upcoming 13th Annual Funding Drive taking place November 2nd-9th 2018!

Our Goal?  We're hoping to raise 30,000 dollars in 7 days!  This money will help us buy new equipment for our new community access podcast studios, replace old broadcast equipment to keep the sweet sounds of your favorite music coming over the airwaves, and add a back up generator at our transmitter site to keep the signal coming even when weather knocks out power on the grid! 

Ways you can help!  Listen to CFRC, attend our wonderful Funding Drive Events, and donate money (and receive EITHER a super sweet tax receipt or some super sweet swag from CFRC and/or our local sponsors.  Stay tuned for teasers and promos telling you about our sponsors and ways you can donate securely online or through our request line (613 533 2372)!

Come join in the fun!  We've got a number of super fun activities lined up during the Funding Drive and we hope you can come join us, have some fun, and show support for your favorite local independent radio station!

Friday November 2nd 7-9 PM CFRC Bowlarama and Big Lebowski Dress Up Party!  Arrive by 7 to register ($5-10) and get your shoes and roll a couple of games with your friends on the lanes we've booked at Cloverleaf Lanes, 10 Bath Road.  CFRC staff will be on site to register you, help get your shoes, and direct you to our dedicated lanes.  Want to form a team?  Email station@cfrc.ca so we can reserve a lane for you...coming solo or with a pal?  We'll help you form teams on site!  Don't forget to dress up as your favorite Big Lebowski character for your chance to win a prize...also small prizes for  most gutterballs, most strikes & the highest score of the night!

Tuesday November 6th 6:30-9:30 PM CFRC Poetry Night with Bruce Kauffman & Friends!  Join us at the Elm Cafe for this magical evening of poetry with local open mic group 'And the Journey Continues'.  Bring your poetry or come by and be inspired by the poetic readings performed by your fellow community members!  Come early as seating is limited and this poetry Open Mic is the most popular in the city!

Thursday November 8th 9-11 PM CFRC Trivia night at the Grad Club!  Bring your pals and your thinking caps to the most heavily attended FREE Trivia Night in the city!  CFRC will furnish some fun prizes and contribute some fun questions to tickle your random access memory bone!

Friday November 9th 8 PM-1 am Local Love for Local Music Open Mic, Deux Trois & DJ Dance Party at the Grad Club!  Bring your musical instrument and/or your dancing shoes!  CFRC is bringing together great musicians for an open mic event including John Rose, the Happy Grass Travellers, Blair Long, Megan Balogh, Jon Mclurg and YOU!  Email station@cfrc.ca if you'd like to sign up or just bring your instrument!  Soundworks will be there to ensure incredible sound for single performances or all out jam sessions!  Stick around for local greats, Deux Trois as well who are keen to join in the fun!  CFRC DJs will also be at the ready for an end of night funding drive wrap up dance party too!  Sliding Scale $5-10!
