Union Gallery invites student and professional artists of all kinds—from all disciplines—to donate
artworks to our annual fundraiser Cézanne's Closet. In anticipation of the virtual ticketed event,
Cézanne's Closet 2023 will also include a Fundraiser Preview exhibition at Union Gallery, co-curated
by Queen's Art History graduate students, Anna Douglas and Cicely Haggerty.
All funds raised directly support our future programming so that we can best support our communities
and provide exciting and free workshops, wellness programs, artist opportunities, exhibitions, and
more. As a not-for-profit teaching gallery, support from the artistic community at-large truly makes a
difference. We could not do what we do without you!
HOW IT WORKS:
Artists are invited to submit up to three (3) "ready to hang" artworks each. Artwork in a variety of 2D
media is accepted (paintings, photographs, drawings, prints), as well as small-scale sculptures.
Tickets are sold for $100 each, so we ask artists to keep this value in mind when submitting artworks.
During the live event, ticket numbers are drawn at random, giving ticket holders the opportunity to
select their favourite artwork to take home from the remaining works.
Submissions are juried on a rolling basis by Cézanne's Closet 2023 Co-Curators. All those who
submit artworks will receive a reply. Selected artworks will be displayed at Union Gallery leading up to
the virtual event.
