The Limestone City Delta Blues Show has been hosted by Ron Irwin since Spring, 2010.
Ron has featured blues from the Mississippi Delta, Chicago, Texas, Southern Rock, and British blues, as well as featuring excursions into Grunge, Punk Blues, Folk Blues, and even Psychedelic Blues.
Usually each weekly program is divided into 2-4 segments that track the careers
of artists or bands chronologically, presenting aspects of the histories and the biographies of the artists.
During the Limestone City Blues Festival, Ron will present artists featured at the festival in the studio or play their recorded material on air.
At other times, artists who are performing locally or touring acts coming through town will appear on the show or do interviews and play live.
Programs frequently promote events organized by the Kingston Blues Society or the RCHA Club.
Recently, the Limestone City Delta Blues Show obtained a sponsorship with the newly-opened Musiikki Café at 73 Brock St. in downtown Kingston, a coffee and whiskey bar which has two stage areas and is developing a recording studio.
CFRC and the Limestone City Delta Blues Show are planning a number of musical collaborations with Cogeco’s Ktown Source, produced by Curtis Brunet.
